Look forward to an experience of a lifetime with Elephant Whispers. You will be able to interact with these majestic animals up close with a range of fun activities. These activities include Elephant back rides, interacting with the elephants and sundowners.

Elephant Whispers is ideal for the whole family. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes and light clothes especially in summer. If you wish to ride the elephants, it is advisable to wear long trousers and closed shoes.

Activities at Elephant Whispers:

Elephant Whispers provide guests with a wide range of Elephant safari activities to enjoy during their Mpumalanga holiday. Elephant interaction provides you with the opportunity to meet and exchange trunk greetings with these amazing animals. You will be able to feel the texture of the Elephant's skin and offer them delicious treats while learning more about them.

Elephant interaction:

During the Elephant interaction, you will be able to get up close to the Elephant and learn more about their compassionate nature. This experience allows you to feed them tasty treats and exchange trunk greetings while sharing in the experienced Elephant handlers knowledge. This Elephant safari experience will last about 45 minutes.

Interaction with short ride and lunch:

During this Elephant safari experience, you will be able to interact with the elephants and be able to enjoy a short ride. Enjoy a nature walk with a difference by experiencing the bush from a new vantage point. After your Elephant back ride, you will be able to sit back and watch the elephants at the river's edge as you enjoy a delicious lunch at Hippo Hollow. This Elephant Whispers experience will take about an hour excluding lunch.

Sunset interaction and Shangaan Cultural Dinner Experience:

Greet the elephants in the late afternoon and enjoy the thrill of being able to interact with them at such a close range. Feed them tasty treats and exchange trunk greetings as you learn more about these magnificent animals. After your Elephant interaction experience, you will be greeted by the sound of African drums as you're welcomed by Chief Numzaan with traditional brew. Experience Shangaan culture with delicious traditional cuisine, dance and song. This experience will take about 2 and a half hours.

Interaction and Elephant back ride:

Enjoy the afternoon interacting with elephants as you take a walk with them or saddle up to enjoy a ride on their backs. Enjoy the unique view from high above the trees. Finish this perfect day with sundowners and snacks while you listen to the elephants settling in for the night. This Elephant experience will take about an hour and a half excluding sundowners. Departure time from October to April is 4:30pm and 4pm from may until September.

Ultimate Elephant experience:

Explore the African bush on the back of an Elephant. Enjoy the views as you make your way through the bush. You are able to stop at any time so you can experience walking with the Elephant. This is also an ideal photo opportunity to ensure you capture your unique Elephant safari experience. Enjoy a delicious picnic with the elephants in the shade along the riverbank. This Elephant safari departs 11am and is available for a maximum of 6 guests. Children are allowed under adult supervision.

Child policy:

Children are welcome as long as they're under strict supervision of a responsible adult. Children riding the Elephant must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and will be allowed at the discretion of management.

Elephant Whispers location:

Elephant Whispers is situated along the R40 towards Hazyview. From Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA), turn towards White River at the T-junction. At the next t-junction, turn left towards Plaston (R538). Continue straight for 8.7km (5.40 miles) until you reach the first set of traffic lights in White River. Turn right onto the R40 towards Hazyview and continue for about 45km (27.96 miles).

At the t-junction, turn left into Hazyview and continue straight through stop streets and traffic lights and follow the signs to Hippo Hollow Country Estate. After the Sabie Road turnoff, Hippo Hollow Country Estate will be on the left hand side. Elephant Whispers is located right next to Hippo Hollows.
